This Merlot is from the Saubrunn vineyard, which has long been one of the best red wine sites. Ruby-garnet colour with an opaque core; dark berry fruit with cherries and tobacco on the nose, underlaid with a fine noble wood spice; juicy, ripe fruit with a pleasant extract sweetness and well-integrated tannins; fine chocolate notes on a long finish.
